कीमोथेरेपी की सुविधा वाले राज्य के 17 जिला अस्पतालों के चिकित्सा अधिकारियों एवं स्टॉफ नर्सेज को आज डे-केयर कीमोथेरेपी का विशेष प्रशिक्षण दिया गया।
नई दिल्ली के प्रसिद्ध ऑन्कोलॉजिस्ट डॉ. दिनेश पेंढारकर और मध्यप्रदेश राज्य कैंसर कीमोथैरेपी के नोडल अधिकारी डॉ. सी.एम. त्रिपाठी ने इन्हें प्रशिक्षण दिया।
राज्य में कैंसर सेवाओं के सुदृढ़ीकरण में सहयोग के लिए राष्ट्रीय स्वास्थ्य मिशन के संचालक श्री भोसकर विलास संदिपन ने डॉ. पेंढारकर और डॉ. त्रिपाठी को प्रशिक्षण कार्यशाला में सम्मानित किया।
कार्यशाला में कैंसर केयर मार्गदर्शिका का विमोचन भी किया गया। एनपी-एनसीडी के उप संचालक डॉ. नेतराम नवरतन, राष्ट्रीय स्वास्थ्य मिशन के राज्य कार्यक्रम प्रबंधक श्री आनंद साहू, शहरी स्वास्थ्य कार्यक्रम प्रबंधक डॉ. प्रदीप टंडन और एनसीडी के राज्य कार्यक्रम समन्वयक डॉ. सुमी जैन भी कार्यशाला में उपस्थित थीं।
वर्तमान में प्रदेश के 17 जिला चिकित्सालयों में दीर्घायु वार्ड बनाकर डे-केयर कीमोथेरेपी की सुविधा प्रदान की जा रही है। राज्य के सुदूर जिलों दंतेवाड़ा, नारायणपुर, बस्तर, कांकेर, बलरामपुर, जशपुर, सरगुजा और सूरजपुर सहित बालोद, बेमेतरा, बिलासपुर, गरियाबंद, जांजगीर, कोरबा, मुंगेली, रायपुर तथा धमतरी के जिला अस्पतालों में कैंसर के मरीजों को निःशुल्क कीमोथेरेपी की सुविधा उपलब्ध कराई जा रही है।
प्रदेश के सभी जिला अस्पतालों में चरणबद्ध रूप से कीमोथेरेपी की सुविधा उपलब्ध कराई जाएगी। कीमोथैरेपी के साथ ही जिला अस्पतालों में कैंसर की स्क्रिीनिंग भी की जा रही है।

Eminent Oncologist Dr Dinesh Pendharkar and Dr CM Tripathi impart training.
Special Training on day-care chemotherapy was imparted to the medical officers and staff nurses who are posted in those seventeen district hospitals of the state that presently have the chemotherapy services. The training was imparted by eminent Oncologist from Delhi Dr Dinesh Pendharkar and Madhya Pradesh Cancer Chemotherapy Nodal Officer Dr CM Tripathi. For their valuable cooperation in streamlining of the cancer treatment services in the state, both the experts were felicitated on the occasion by the Director of National Health Mission Bhoskar Vilas Sandeepan.
A guidebook on cancer care was also released on the occasion. Others to grace the occasion were NP-NCD Deputy Director Dr Netram Navratan, National Health Mission State Programme Manager Anand Sahu, Urban Health Programme Manager Dr Pradeep Tandon and NCD State Programme Coordinator Dr Sumi Jain.
Day-care chemotherapy is presently being provided in ‘Dirghayu’ wards in as many as seventeen district hospitals of the state. Free-of-charges chemotherapy services are being provided to the cancer patients approaching the district hospitals in the remote districts like Dantewada, Narayanpur, Bastar, Kanker, Balrampur, Jashpur, Surguja, Surajpur, Balod, Bemetara, Bilaspur, Gariaband, Janjgir, Korba, Mungeli and Dhamtari, in addition to Raipur.
