** TALKS WITH STATE GOVT. HAVE FAILED.

Chhattisgarh Pradesh Swasthya Karmachari Sangh (CPSKS) confirmed on Monday that round about 60,000 employees working in different cadres under the state health department will be on indefinite strike from July 4.  It may be mentioned that CPSKS has been pursuing Chhattisgarh government over a long time for fulfilment of 24-point demands. Doing its homework very well, the association held a series of serious meetings in its head office located at Arjun Nagar locality in the state capital.

All the state level office bearers including the Patron Shri OP Sharma, State President Alok Mishra, General Secretary Ashwini Gurdekar, Vice President SP Dewangan, were all present. State Convenors of different cadres, district level office bearers expressed their views and finally consensus was arrived that in case the talks with the state government fail this time then the employees will go on indefinite strike.   The association then undertook the necessary formalities of informing about their decision to the concerned authorities in the state government and administration levels. In recent developments, the association delegation was called at the State Secretariat Mahanadi Bhawan, where Secretary, Health, Siddhartha Komalsingh Pardeshi and Secretary, Medical Education, P Dayanand, (both of them IAS Officers), talked to the delegation on two different dates.

CPSKS observed that the talks so far have not yielded any of the expected positive outcomes regarding fulfilment of the demands. The association on the very same days, after the meetings with the top authorities, made the point clean and clear to the one and all concerned that in case of indifference regarding the demands, the strike was certain.

CPSKS State President Shri Alok Mishra confirmed that round about 60,000 employees would be on strike. In a number of hospitals, the employees left their workplaces by Monday evening. Banners were held high in the hospitals through which the association sought apology from the common people over their decision. The association frontline office bearers will lead the employees to the ‘dharna’ site at Tuta, Naya Raipur, which is located near the ‘Rajyotsav’ site. District Collector and Superintendent of Police have been informed by the association regarding the move.
