While continuing with the indefinite strike that entered the fifth consecutive day on Saturday, the state health department employees under the banner of their representative association Chhattisgarh Pradesh Swasthya Karmachari Sangh strongly criticized the state government, alleging that scores of patients coming to the government hospitals are finding them helpless but the government is ignoring the serious matter.

In a communiqué, the Sangh not only expressed its discord with the government but also its sympathy with the common people of the state.

  In intensifying the strike, thousands of health employees including staff nurses, ward-boys, stretcher bearers, pharmacists, radiographers, lab- technologists, OT Assistants, employees of advanced cardiac institute and all other cadre stafffrom Dr BR Ambedkar Memorial Hospital, DKS Hospital, District Hospital, Community Health Centres, Primary Health Centres, Sub-Health Centres observed the strike.

Services like CT scan, x-ray, blood, urine and other pathological examinations could not be done and also the free medicine distribution service to the patients came to halt.

Now the doctors would also be requested and emergency staff would be also pursued to come forward and join the strike.
