RAIPUR: Under the banner of Chhattisgarh Pradesh Swasthya Karmachari Sangh (CPSKS), a delegation of its state level office bearers could not arrive at any employee-satisfactory conclusion in course of talks with the state Health Minister TS Singh Deo on Thursday at his official residence in the state capital after which the association resolved to intensify the indefinite strike that continued for the third successive day today all over the state.

The delegation that talked to the state health minister was comprised of CPSKS Patron OP Sharma, State President Alok Mishra, Working President Pradeep Bogie, Ravindra Tiwari, General Secretary Syed Aslam, Ashwini Gurdekar, accompanied by Employee-Officer Federation Convenor Anil Shukla, Sanjay Tiwari and many other office bearers.

The talks with the health minister could not cover all the 24 points of the state health employees’ demands. Only wiping out the discrepancies in pay-scale, 13-month payment in one calendar year, only-one-shift OPD service in government hospitals, risk allowance, limiting the retirement age to 62 years for irregular employees, regularization of daily wage earners in DKS Hospital and removal of this hospital Deputy Superintendent, were the only issues discussed upon. An assurance was however given that a discussion session with Additional Chief Secretary Renu Pillai would be later held in course of which each and every point would be given due attention. The health minister urged the delegation to call off the present strike mode and advised to show protest by wearing black stripes.
After dispersal from the official residence of the health minister, CPSKS State President Alok Mishra and General Secretary Ashwini Gurdekar issued a joint press release to communicate the association view point far and wide that even after indefinite strike of the health employees that has adversely affected the health services, the attitude of the state health minister was ‘negative’, which greatly disappointed the delegation. As a result, the health employees’ resentment has become fierce.The decision was arrived at the level of CPSKS to intensify the protest and to take up the deliberation to cause halt of emergency services in the hospitals.
Through the communiqué, the association informed that none of its allegiant employees is satisfied with the state government’s 5 per cent Dearness Allowance declaration on today. CPSKS observed in the context that the declaration was no point in its demand list. The association had expected that the state government would take decision on pay-scale discrepancies, regularization of employees and other more important demands.
The delegation that went to the state health minister’s official residence had Ravindra Tiwari, BK Shukla, PC James, Ajay Nayak, Satish Paseria, SP Dewangan, Kamal Chandrakar, Salik Navrange, Arvind Chandrakar, Jay Gendre, SS Soni, BL Verma, Rajendra Yadav, Imran Mirza, Sumit Dubey, Sandhya Mowle, Santosh Giri, Prafulla Paul, Sunaina Singh, Vikash Yadav, SR Navrange, Laxmi Pandey, Jolly Thomas, Santosh Dewangan, Anil Kumar Garhewal and several other representatives.
